Collection: Diamond Tennis Jewelry

For everyday and special occasions, these diamond tennis pieces are not mass manufactured but made to order and made to last.

This collection is designed to be worn, not stored. Each piece is crafted in solid 14k gold and set with high-quality lab diamonds, chosen for their colour, clarity, and longevity.

They’re refined enough to layer yet polished enough to stand on their own: pieces you reach for every day, without overthinking it.

Long before it was called a tennis bracelet, it was simply a line of diamonds. In the 1920s, women wore delicate diamond necklaces and bracelets.

The name came later, in 1987 when tennis champion Chris Evert paused a match at the US Open to search for the diamond bracelet that had slipped from her wrist. From then on, it was known as the tennis bracelet.

Tennis necklaces are essentially the same concept around the neck: a seamless line of diamonds that sits against the skin.

There’s a difference between a well-made tennis piece and one made to hit a price point. Many retailers produce these pieces as light and thin as possible, using minimal solid gold to reduce cost. Over time, that can mean weaker settings, flimsy clasps, and pieces that lose their shape with regular wear.

Others are not solid gold at all. Some are gold vermeil (which is a layer of gold over silver) or gold plated (which is a thin layer of gold over base metal). With wear, that outer layer can fade or wear through.

Some pieces are set with simulants such as cubic zirconia or moissanite. Others use extremely low-grade diamonds with poor cut, colour and clarity, reducing the pieces that lack brilliance and longevity.

Ma Folie’s diamond tennis pieces are made differently. We use solid 14k white gold with proper weight and structure, secure settings, and well-cut DE VVS diamonds that actually reflect light. Designed to feel substantial and built to last.

A natural diamond is a naturally occurring mineral made of pure carbon that has crystallized under extreme heat and pressure deep within the Earth. It is the hardest known natural material.

A lab-grown diamond is a real diamond created in a controlled laboratory instead of forming naturally in the Earth. It’s made of pure carbon and has the same chemical, physical, and optical properties as a natural diamond.

Our current diamond tennis jewelry is made with lab-grown diamonds but natural diamonds can also be used. Contact to inquire.

When shopping for diamond jewelry, you’ll hear about the Four C’s. It’s the standard way diamonds are graded and compared.

They stand for Cut, Colour, Clarity and Carat.

  • Cut affects how much a diamond sparkles.
  • Colour measures how white or warm a diamond appears.
  • Clarity refers to natural inclusions within the stone.
  • Carat is the diamond’s weight.

For our diamond tennis jewelry, we use only DE colour and VVS quality, meaning they are excellent colour and clarity.
