2025 Engagement Ring Trends

We know engagement rings because all we do are engagement rings!

Here's what we're seeing is popular so far in 2025:

1. Coloured Gemstones: Couples are opting for colour and uniqueness. Sapphires, emeralds, and rubies are having their moment. These gemstones have been around for centuries and are timeless yet unique.

2. Couples attending ring appointments together: Long gone are the days when the person who the ring is for does not know what ring they will be given. About 95% of our clients come in together with their partners to co-create a ring that is unique and special to them.

After the design stage is done, we usually stop communicating with the person who will be wearing it so the person who is proposing can surprise the partner with a proposal.

3. Fancy Cuts: While oval-cut and round-cut diamonds and gemstones still rule the majority of engagement rings, we've seen a rise in the number of clients asking for fancy-cuts. These include pear, emerald, marquise, radiant, and cushion cuts!

4. Lab Diamonds over Natural Diamonds: The majority of clients who prefer a diamond ring will request a lab-grown diamond over a natural diamond. While our natural diamonds are sourced ethically (we use both Canadian-mined diamonds, and other natural diamonds that have gone through the Kimberley Process), we also carry lab-created diamonds.

5. Unique Settings: More clients are asking for unique settings. Think east-west settings (where the stone goes horizontal), compass settings (where the prongs go North, East, South and West), and petal settings.

6. Custom Rings: This is the perfect way to find a ring that is one-of-a-kind and unique to you and your partner.
